ANTI-HAZING
SEE SOMETHING?DO SOMETHING, BY REPORTING IT! LET'S ENSURE KAPPA ALPHA PSI® FRATERNITY, INC. IS VIABLE FOR ANOTHER 109 YEARS!
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. participates with the National Anti-Hazing Hotline at Fraternal Law Partners, a division of Manley Burke, LPA, a law firm in Cincinnati that operates the National Anti-Hazing Hotline. The National Anti-Hazing Hotline was established in 2006 and is currently sponsored by 46 national men's and women's Greek-letter organizations. The sponsoring groups advertise the Hotline through their publications, websites, and at their meetings and conventions. Anyone who feels or believes they have knowledge of hazing or have been victims of hazing, can call 1-888-NOT-HAZE and leave a voice mail indicating their concerns. The caller leaving the message may choose to remain anonymous or may provide their name and contact information for a follow-up call. Email reports are processed in the same manner as voice reports (see website information below).
Fraternal Law Partners represents the National Pan-Hellenic Council, the North-American Interfraternity Conference, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and several national fraternities and sororities that sponsor the Hazing Hotline. Most calls and emails received by the Hotline relate to a fraternity or sorority, though not necessarily to one of the sponsoring organizations. In all such cases, however, the audio recording or email is e-mailed to the national fraternity or sorority office whose chapter is involved. Fraternal Law Partners does not play a role in investigating the complaint. All investigations are conducted by the respective national organizations involved. In cases that do not involve a national organization, the institution where the hazing is alleged to have occurred is advised
Fraternal Law Partners has no way of knowing whether or not statements made by a caller are true. This can only be determined after an investigation is conducted by the entity whose students, members, or chapters are alleged to have been involved.
